FOTN: Pishawl

As-Salaamu ‘Alaykum & Hello Everyone!

Ramadhaan Mubaarak. May Allaah accept your fast and good deeds, ameen.

Well… After 9 months of toiling over my beloved needles and purple wool yarn, I finally finished the pishawl... Finally!

Pishawl 2

It took a good few months to the body. As for the edging, that took about 1.5-2 months to complete. It was a bit of a challenge doing a provisional cast-on edging. But Alhamdulillaah I eventually got the hang of it!

I made this shawl for a very special family member in my life. I mailed it to her and Mashaa Allaah she loved it. I also made a little lavender sachet that she can use to store with her shawl to keep any critters away.

Until next time,

FOTN: Purple and Gold Chevron Cowl

I made this for a friend who loves purple and gold. I used leftover purple acrylic and gold acrylic/wool yarn for this project. I got the pattern online somewhere.

Honestly, there isn’t much to say about this project, except that I really enjoyed making it <3. Oh and that I plan to make a matching cowl brooch Inshaa Allaah.

FOTN (Fresh off the Needles) – Superindipity Socks

I finally finished the Superindipity socks that I’ve been knitting on for toooo long.

This is my first time knitting lace-pattern socks. I had to rip out a few rows a couple times, but the overall experience was a success!

In the midst of knitting these socks, I felt like the purple color and the lace combination seemed “off”. But after I blocked them, they turned out beautifully. Mashaa Allaah. I guess that’s the suspense of lace knitting.
